Soaring off of the "snowjumpstump" (1987)Summary:
Name: Mark Ludwig
Email: mark@snowjumpstump.com
Location: Reisterstown (Baltimore), MD
Occupation: Graphic Designer / Web Developer
Full:
For the past 8 years, I have been primarily a Graphic Designer, Web Developer and Programmer for a small tech company in Owings Mills, MD. In my free time I have worked alongside my talented wife Kendall, owner of CurlyRed, Inc. (www.curlyred.com) and have created (or assisted with) numerous web projects for her clients.
snowjumpstump is the website that I use to showcase my past and current work, ranging in all mediums.
I have also decided to add a blog section to the site for the purpose of showing new work, sharing information that inspires me, and also commenting and spreading news surrounding the Gaming Industry.
Gaming is where I want to be. Gaming is what I want to do.
My work is very clean, structured, and orderly. I like to take a mathematical approach to most of my designs, and I prefer things to be organized. I like writing clean code, and I try (most of the time unless Microsoft shoots one out of left field) to stick to Web Standards.
Oh, and recently I have become an Android Developer.
What does snowjumpstump mean?
While trying to decide on an appropriate URL to use for my website, I tried to think of something that stuck out in my head, something that was important to me. My childhood is a memorable time, and to me it's that child-like nature that has helped shaped me into the person I am today. With that in mind, I was going through some old photos with my mom and we came across the photo you see to the right.
This photo shows me in mid-air flying over a cut down tree stump in our back yard in Camp Springs, Maryland. It was back on that hill that I remember having so much fun and playing alongside my two brothers. That tree stump (which I believe my granddad cut down years before) was the best sledding jump we had in the winter. Hours were spent out there. That one idea is what struck me when thinking about a name for this site.
Leave me a message on the blog if you like. Thanks for visiting.
